SNOW!!!

Well, we finally got some "real" snow! We didn't let the boys out in it the first day when there was so much of it on the ground because they have both had a terrible cough this past week. However, we gave in today and let them spend just a few minutes out there before it all melted away! They loved it and were sweet enough to stop and pose for a few snapshots for me. They had a great time throwing snowballs at one another and even slipped in the shed to throw a few at their daddy! Keyton had to make all the snowballs for Garrison because he didn't know how. What a good big brother!

My Wish...

I picked a song to play on my blog because I thought it was neat. The first song is the song which I dedicate to my boys. I knew the moment I first heard this song, "My Wish," by Rascal Flatts, that that is the song that says it all for how I want my children to grow up. It is beautiful I thought I would put the words on here to go with the music. I have so many wishes for my precious sons...

Make-Believe

The boys and I were in the basement playing in their playroom and I had to go upstairs to check on something. I hadn't been up long when they began yelling for me to hurry up and look. They said they had a surprise for me! When I started down the steps, I saw them waiting at the bottom of the landing for me. This is how they looked. Adorable! Keyton loves dressing up in old Halloween costumes. He helped Garrison get into one as well! I always look for them after Halloween when you can get them for a couple of bucks. They are great for entertaining my boys. They are such joys!

10 Years Ago...

Today is our 10 year anniversary! We have shared so much together. I really can hardly remember my life before him. We have had some wonderful times together as well as heartaches and of course, as everyone does, some pretty good fights! :) We have created 2 wonderful boys together and we love them with our whole hearts. I found a couple of quotes that I think sum up our marriage very well. "Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end." ~Author Unknown This fits so well, because as I said I can't remember my life before him and I sure can't imagine it without him! "Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that." ~Michael Leunig~ This one fits us because no matter how rough things gets, I always remember that at the end of the day we love each other and that will never change. Dana is my rock and he has helped me so much through losing my daddy. He knows when I start thinking about him and he just wraps his arms around me and holds me while I cry. I don't think I could make it through this without him. He loved my daddy so much and that meant the world to me! I don't know how we ever got together, but God definitely knows what he is doing!

Valentines...

This morning, Garrison woke up first. He patted me to wake me up and then he said in the sweetest little voice, "Mommy, will you be my Balentimes?" I said "Yes!" He said, "Okay, my so in love with you!" How precious! I am so in love with my boys too! They melt my heart every day! They got up on the bed this morning while I was getting ready and got their favorite dogs they sleep with and wanted me to make their picture together. I got Keyton and Garrison something for Valentine's Day. Keyton got his at school and was so proud of it. I let him take Garrison's in to him when we got to my mom's to get him. Garrison was so happy. He said, "Thank you, Bubba! My like it! I love you Bubba!" Then Keyton started kissing him about 20 times. They are so loving to one another. I hope they will always be best buddies.

Garrison

Garrison...my baby. He loves John Deere tractors, hot dogs, gum, SpongeBob, stuffed animals, and farming with his daddy. He has developed such a large vocabulary so early. He isn't even 2 yet, and I can't think of much he can't say. Whatever you want him to say, he tries his best. He adores his big brother, Keyton. He often refers to him as "bubba." He constantly cracks us up with his comments. He seems to be pretty outgoing, but he occasionally gets shy around new people. He likes being on the go all the time and does not want to stay at home. He is always wanting to go somewhere. He seems to have a real interest in teeth. He checks out everyone's teeth. We think he may be a future dentist. He is a real delight and I look forward to hearing everything he has to say as he gets bigger!

Keyton

Keyton...my firstborn. He loves John Deere tractors, police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and farming with his daddy. He is such an awesome big brother. He thinks Garrison is the sweetest thing ever. He showers him with kisses all day long. He is so wise beyond his years. He has seen more sadness and worry in his 6 years than many see in a lifetime. He was so scared when I went through my surgery ordeal and so upset through all of my daddy's sickness. He misses my daddy so much and because of what happened to me, he says he wants to be a surgeon. He has to have every medical kit we see and he even has his own genuine paramedic bag filled with real supplies. He is such a delight and full of wit and humor. However, only few people are privy to this because he is so terribly shy! He only speaks to his teacher when she asks him something. He does talk all day long to the other kids in kindergarten though! I can't wait till he comes out of his shell so the rest of the world can see what a smart and entertaining little boy I have!

Brothers...

This quote reminds me so much of Keyton and Garrison.

They LOVE playing with each other and miss each other so much if they are apart for any amout of time.

When they see each other in the afternoon, they hug and kiss.

It is so sweet.

Keyton said God sent us the best baby he had.

I agree, but I think he sent me the best baby 2 times.

They are my world and my world is very sweet!

My Daddy...

Yesterday was my daddy's birthday. I still can't believe he is gone. I was always such a a"Daddy's Girl." I still am. I took my boys to the cemetery to take some flowers to him. They both told him they loved him. He was Keyton's best friend. I am amazed that Garrison talks sbout him as much as he does considering he had only just turned one a couple weeks before my daddy passed away. They say it gets easier with time...I guess it does a little, but there has not been a day go by that I haven't missed my sweet daddy. He was the best person I have ever known. If everyone would be more like him...this world would be a better place. Happy Birthday Daddy. I love you.

My favorite boys...

These guys are the light of my life. I adore them. I love them more than they will ever know. I hope they think I am a good mommy because I try harder at it than anything else I have ever attempted. Precious!
